Happy Birthday Jean Harlow!

Don't usually do birthday posts, but I couldn't help it! It's Jean Harlow after all! Today 101 years ago, Harlean Harlow Carpenter was brought into this world and blondes have never been the same since!

  1. Harlow was awesome... Red-headed woman was my fave of hers...it was Harlow at her 'Harlowiest'! 'Bombshell' is great as well...

And of course, there's so many parallels to Ginger, although they never made a film together...dang that would have been awesome...if only some of those goofs at the studios would have set it up...not sure WHAT movie they could have made, but I think they could have been awesome as sisters or something...

Great job on the blog, Craig!!! Keep up the great work!

  3. I'm currently covering 15 of Harlow's films in honor of her birthday. Love your write up and it's sad that most people remember Marilyn Monroe, but don't realize she's an off-shoot of Harlow! If anyone's interested in following my Harlow-thon it's at www.journeysinclassicfilm.com. Awesome write up and I'm definitely following your blog (found it via cometoverhollywood).
